Corn Dusted Travelers

The situation:

4 adventurers have recently been rifted to Earth from a prison called Celestia. They were pulled their by Kymnarkmar, and told their original bodies were stuck in a time field in North Dakota. Kymnarkmar promised they could get to their original bodies by using vessels he had prepared should his followers ever become trapped with him in celestia. Using their inferiour bodies (1/2 magic and psionics, 50SDC, 25hp) they struggle to cross america in search of their original bodies. Thull has at this point been blessed with a strange magic energy, when mentioning caldor and sparticus to thull a strange magic connection is established between them and Thull, black whispy energy seems to entwine them together then its gone.
Thull: 1st Level Wilderness scout and Corn Row resident.
Sparticus: Ill with Corn Fever, his left foot is infested. The nurse informs him his foot will have to be amputated within 24hrs.

Drago: His body is sick but being kept alive through his draconic essence.

Caldor: Lizard men seem to be immune to corn fever.
Kash/Zee: Zee states he is in control of the host and will keep it save from Corn Fever and work to assist the group for now. He is in a Lt in the SLF, symbiot liberation front, fighting to free Splugorth slaves. Drago and Sparticus mention the many slaves they have freed in atlantis to Zee.

Sparticus gets his foot amputated shortly after and Thull whittles him a peg-foot. Before leaving zee uses psionic surgery to heal the wound and afix the peg-foot perfectly. Sparticus has -1 to dodge and is -25% to speed.

Everyone suits up for a trip to Corn Heights, Thull has been offered great richest to lead the group there and research the mysterious corn buyers. Drago also belives this to be the direction of the super-nexus.
Drago starts using his owl familiar to scout.

Everyone decides its time to go to Corn Heights, a town in central Ohio nearer the ruins of the former state capital, Columbus.
They hear a howl and the owl scouts seeing a feral dogpack with an assault rifle. The dog fires on it a few times before the owl escapes. Zee goes up and repels the dog. It runs off and they pass. They notice the dog was standing atop a burnt out car with the words “Fuck the Dark harvest” scrawled on it.
Later they come to a huge crater. Going around the crater they get to a large bolder poised at the top of a run down to their location. Nearby they see a demonic monky with wings and a gun. It blows away Dragos owl familiar before being hit with a M203 fired by Caldor. Drago is knocked into a 4hr coma when he fails the save against the shock of loosing his familiar. The bolder starts to roll down the slope and would have flattens their ATV if not for Sparticus using his force field to deflect the rock. The field is greatly damaged and sparticus lets it dissipate.
The thing lives, raining down some pain with its particle beam rifle before being taken out by a combination of caldors explosive arrows and shots from Sparticus’s TW pistol. Sparticus also shocks the beast with his powers.

When they look in back they say Maylinn, Dragos comatose body has had its left foot blown off in the battle. Thull quickly whilttles up a 2nd peg-foot and Zee affixes it.
Finally driving up the slope they see the lights of Corn Heights.

Where Corn row was a cozy village of not more than a few hundred, Corn Heights is a dirtier village of 3000 or so.

There is a large modern mainstrip built from sleek black technology. There is also a loading bay for loading silows of corn and alot of corn traffic in and out of warehouses near by.

The group drives up exhuasted after driving their little corn alchol atv all night. They get to Corn Heights Inn, operated by the Corn Heights Corn Company. Everything in the town seems to be owned by “The Company”. The people all have a weary overworked look to them. They are also racists against non humans and magic users and openly spit at caldor in the street.

Zee sneaks off.

During the night 2 strange zombie like monsters and an unseen third assailant attack. Drago drives them away and they are given different rooms after theirs was damaged in the attack.

At this point they leave town and visit Heaths Healers, outside of town. Rumored to have had a falling out with The Company, heaths operates outside the company town limits and provides much needd healing to local corn farmers and industrial workers.

Heath tells them he too wants to find out more dirt on the mysterious corn buyers. he says they take shipments out to an airstrip outside town but noone ever sees any planes come.

Heath hints that he will show them the way to Psyscape if they uncover what the buyers do with their corn at the airstrip.

Agreeing, they all sneak to airstrip…

They get there after seeing an armored car driving down the road patrolling.

Later they see a corn shipment guarded by another car, they follow it to the airstrip..

AT the strip the corn truck stops and someone gets out and goes inside the air traffic control tower. At this point a strange magical energy is released and a bright flash which blinds those who fail a save. (everyone makes it but still misses what happens). when the flash receeds the truck is gone. Drago tries lore magic and surmises maybe some teleportation magic is at work. Which is strange because the company claims to be magic free and is racist against magic users and dbees never hiring them openly.

Sparticus decides he wants the armored car, so Thull, he and Drago and Caldor sneak up to one car. They pull out a zombie inside using Sparticus’s TK abilities and Thull starts piloting the car. suddenly they are overtaken by a horrible fear (failed save vs hf 16 fear spell). Thull pannics and starts roaring away from the area in the car. HE fails his pilot auto roll and crashes the car, rolling it upside down. Strange thunderclaps are heard as Sparticus fearfully flips the car upright with his powers and Thull guns it, roaring off into the corn fields away from the airstrip.

They get back to Heaths who tells them he will need time to consider what they have told him of the magic use.

The gun can be fired while sitting exposed in the turrnt which has been stripped off due to its damage in the rolling of the vehicle. Vehicle has basic radio and nothing else, it is from 1960s russia if anyone has history skills and cares to research it.
