The Freshman Dragon

Drago goes to the admissions office, finds he is fully admited to school and gets his dorm assignment.

It seems he is in C3

Not a normal dorm, he finds a hole

at the bottom it brances into 3 lairs labeled C1 C2 C3

he goes to lair 3 and makes it his

then he tries lair 2, its got a magic wall in front of the door

in lair 1, he finds a baslisk! she is nerdy and a bitch, she petrifies him.

Drago is lifted out of the lairs by Tolkeen Magic School staff who are arguing about what to do next…

They try to reach Sparticus, and Mugabe using Magic Pigeons.

“Your friend Drago has been petrified. Please report to the Deans office immediately to claim him.”

DR Beltrov summons the characters from their places in Tolkeen, he is awake. He asks them if they saw any strange coalition vehicles in the area of atlantis… says his party was freeing slaves when they were attacked by a coalition sub which they drove off. says they were front recon to Tolkeen investigating a secret coalition weapon being built off the coast, a super weapon of untold size and destructive capabilities.

The Ship Moves

Back at the Ship
Its a typical Runner Ship p 171 Phaseworld
100ft long, now more like 65ft long
MAinbody was 2000, now more like 750, rear section of ship is missing
30ft Heighx30ft wide

1 damaged laser turret
2 plugged missle tubes
can fly mach4 in atmosphere
mac10 in space

currently cannot fly more than 30mph, engines severly damaged and clogged
around it are huddled 3 Arkhon scientists. they have a panel ripped off caldors ship and are hacking at it… they have a computer plugged into the panel.

They chitter with glee as they successfuly activate it and shoot off 4 long range missiles at an unknown target… The missle launches out of a newly opened hatch on top of the ship and head west…

There is a massive battle for the ship. Drago and the otherse are nailed by missles by a Arkhon robot protecting the APC. Drago petrifies the witch and her followers flee. The Arkhons attack does sever damage but ultimately fails and they take the ship.

A few of the Fallom guards are slain and the rest flee, they are slaves and seem to be throwing down their arms and running off into the jungle at the site of the mega robot falling to Caldors missling of it. Caldor is piloting the robot beetle they found at the bottom of the ocean, while wearing powerarmor. His dog is inside the beetle.

The beetle takes a missle volly and drago takes a few before teleporting back to tolkeen..down to hitpoints from the blasts.

Caldor gets his ship back, Sparticus captures the APC. He is towing the damaged ship across the ocean, holding up the front end while the rear thrusters keep that area above water.

They start driving the rest of the freed slaves west trying to get the four duhks they think are Doc Beltrov back to Tolkeen.

They are all magic users, the only of the 150 originaly freed.

Mugabe looses a zombie and his other zombies power armor gets quite damaged.

Mugabe then slaughters his 30 tribal followers for unknown reasons.

After a few hours they cross south of florida and touch the tip of the buermuda triangle, teleporting randomlyg 1d4×100 miles in a random direction.

on a d8roll they roll a 1, and 400 miles, so north 500miles they go, which takes them to the swamps of florida.
they see and kill a tricerotops before it can charge the ship. Feasting on its ribs they keep going north where they see signs for Goldenage weapons north, 200 miles. following the signs they make it to the human civilization.

They go shopping for their minions, mostly trying to buy power armor and energy weapons. These are in short supply but the following equipment is located and purchased.

While teleporting to his lair on the west coast, , Drago sees the Dwarf. He is near Dragos lair off coast of the island of Atlantis, floating over the water. beneath him the water roils and a tunnel of energy comes up from a seal covered in draconic runes. The dwarf finishes a ritual and summons a huge demon, looks like Famin, the horsewoman of the Apocolypse.

He casts Petrification against her and she rolls a one, also petrified! Then he teleports off to Tolkeen again…

Drago tries to buy bunk fusion blocks for 2000

Sparticus puts on contaminated armor and gets a worm speeder parasite in his back. He finds a doctor at Goldenage weaponsmiths city, and gets it removed for 100000 in gold rush surgery.

Gathering mikes forces, to the Arkhon held ship they sneak…

They hear the sound of gunfire.

mike comes outta the underbrush on a katv pulling a wagon with a wounded gypsy in back

they blow away 4 of them and suffer some damage doin so, then hear from mike of the arkhons capture of caldors ship.

they go to the area, sparticus sneaks up and stuns a dwarf guard with his psionics and plants a grenade on him…he then sneaks away to the shadows as they prepare for their assalt on the witch and her arkhon allies.

Mugabe Hunts the Atlantis Jungle

Mugabe tires of the banter near the ship and takes his two goblins and Zombie hunting in the woods.

After traveling south through the jungle about 1 mile Neeku his goblin minion is attacked by a Hawk Dbee!

Mugabe and his zombie attack it, beeku hits it with 9 pulse blasts from his laser rifle.

Finaly they kill it… slaughter it and go back to the camp with the meat.

Mugabee feeds it to the slaves and goes out again…

this time he meets a friendly dragon wolf who trades him 2 altaran bracelets with 30 shots left each for 40k
he also had hail and weed snare scrolls for sale which were declined

mugabe prowls around and sees 6 ragged humans hiding, they run away.

then he sees two toad stools…

they attack…

he kills them slaughters them and gives them to neeku and beeku to take back…

when they get back to camp they slaugther the stools and add them to a soup of hawk-ka neeku makes.

Mugabe and 20 of his followers eat it and are aflicted with toadstool warts, -2ini, -10% skills -1d4pb
they all are somewhat well fed but in pain

HE also hunts and kills 2 harpies and on returning he sees…

drago teleports back..

he has brough a ton of level one scrolls he picked up at a vending machine in tolkeen.

Mugabe gets charmed by a Wood Faerie who tells him to rescue her sisters at the point north of their location.
Its near a nexus where the burmuda triangle ends on the easter part of atlantis.

They go there and see 2 bogies who try to sell them sprites. Mugabe attacks and they flee.

Then drago sees a huge metzla in the water.
Earlier he had studied one of his petrification scrolls and he wanted to try it out…

the 2ton metzla fails its save, and is stoned. it plunges into the water.

White Skies and EMP

Caldor and the rest of the ship get hit by an EMP storm as they travel west towards the northern bay of Atlantis. Caldor is knocked over and disabled, squishes 2 humans on his way to nearly falling off the boat. Mugabee picks him up and saves him from the waves.

Drago gets a garbled message from Mike and teleports to where he last saw him, by the hole near the Kreegorian spaceship.

There he sees a crew of dbee dogmen taking apart Caldors ship. The witch, army of Thunder, and gypsies are all there being tortured or holding their hands up.

the WITCH is there as well, sacraficing humans and adding them to a huge ball of energy over her head.

Also is a giant robot. Drago tries to petrify the witch but she safes (roles 16)
the bot does a x4 medium range missle attack against drago, doing 1400xp.

Drago tries to tp and fails, Dodges some more missles and then manages to teleport back to the tree before the magics of Agony the witch were forming can get to him.

Abandoned by their draconic friend, the rest of the team sits sadly on the now disabled boat. To the south lies the bay and a tributary that leads back to Caldors ship.

Caldor starts towing the ship ashore.

Sparticus viciously electrocutes a disabled 13 ABM Brain. while doing it the brain desperately mentally possesses Mugabe who goes toe to toe with Sparticus for a few rounds unable to get through his force fields. Finaly the brain sucumbs and mugabe is returned to controling his own body.

13 and 2 goblins were nearly killed when the EMP pulse overloaded the gear 13 was working on.

Caldor detects strange fishlike creatures tailing the boat…

One of them warns of great evil nearby in a strange chirping language that caldor identifies as “Dolphin speak”

Then a huge malestrom starts up… a whirlpool.

Caldor gets a sensor reading on something floating in the center…

He unloads all 12 of his minimissles on it. caldor is out of missles but the malestorm stops.

The boat is nearly drug back out to sea by this before it ends.

Caldor sees the glimmer of gold…
Caldor goes bravely diving into the area where the malestrom happend nets the following loot which he drags ashore methodicaly. Caldor is pooped out by the end of this even with his robotic assist as some of these items are very heavy.

Boating off the North Coast of Atlantis

Players Defeat Horune Pirates as they are loading the rest of Sparticus’s human slaves onto the boat with Mulan and the dogs.

the engines on the boat are still toasted

Mugabee eats the brains of a dead pirate and learns how to pilot one of their scooters. He uses it to tow the boat 180miles west at 30mph.

There are two helpings of pirate brains left.

after 6hrs they get to the sphinx’s cave.
Players go back with sphynx to his lair and return his sarcofugus

they dont like what they get, defeat MARA, a conservator with an axe of withering, and 6 cultist warriors.

drago ice walls the culsts, sparticus poison arrows Mara. The Conservator chops up Sparticus and Tries to chop up Caldor before it gets killed by sparticus hanging off its back with swords in it electric auraing it to death.

Inside drago flame breaths the whole area hoping to catch the disapered mara in the blast. he does and senses her evil aura disapate. The sphinx comes two and gives everyone magic sphinxs. they are tough to open, caldors still wont open. Drago and Mugabe found scrolls in theirs, Sparticus found a weird metal rod in his

Sparticus gets pissed and starts trying to dig out the sphinx. Mugabe and Drago get in an argument about scroll distribution, Mugabe runs off. HE is attacked by 2 corrupt chosen when he hits the treeline of the beach.

Caldor blows the crap out of them while mugabe slashes them to death.

Azlum Slave Bargaining

July 3rd Dusk

The rain picks up across the deck of the ship.

Earlier Sparticus and Mugabee had broken out 3 pens of humans, the 150 freed slaves were left earlier on the shore to the west with Mulan and the Dogs. Mugabe animated corpses and started a riot so they managed to load up the slaves and escape with them in the chaos.

As the last of the freed slaves make their way into the forest to camp, they start the boat slowly towards Azlum.

There is a sudden storm and the pilot is washed overboard…

The goblin bobs around in the water..when a sea serpent is seen approaching!

Fearing that none of them can pilot the boat with out the goblin, MUGABU fearlessly dives in.

Sparticus vainly tries to TK the goblin out of harms way but fails his strike rolls instead throwing the goblin into the water a few times like bait.

Mugabe grabs the goblin heroicaly hawling him like a spider on water, as fast as he can.
He gets to the side of the ship before the SERPENT ATTACKS!!!

Mugabe rolls a 1 to parry, and stick his arm in the serpents mouth. It starts biting down..

By this point Caldor has opened up with his cannon but the serpent is only hit a few times before battle take cover behind the side of the ship. Caldor is desperately trying to keep his power armor stable on the heaving deck as the two thrash around in the water just near the other side..

Caldor jumps into the serpents mouth, and x4 plasma missles it.

But not before it bites off Mugabees arm… The goblin is saved however.

The blast vaporizes most of its head, Mugabee escapes but Caldors suits suffers 200SDC burn damage, all fancy sensors are out and radios is at 1/2 raNGE AND CRACKLY.

Before returning to Azlum to seek out the Professor

Drago, Sparticus, Caldor, and Mugabee dock their stolen ship in Azlum. The ship is named “Dream of Mara” Based on whats written on the side in redish paint..

Drago remembers roughly what Mara looks like… but she escaped during the fight.

Sparticus is wearing a heavy cloak that he stole from a slave cage to conceal his features.

After some poor piloting rolls they arrive back in Azlum.

Drago and Sparticus use their connections to get a new pilot since the goblin one is barely functional.

Sparticus meets up with a gang the White fists who are beating an orc on the side of the docks. HE beats it too and they tell him they fight the Black Fangs, an orc gang.

Sparticus tries to get the two gangers Shaak and Raak to get their boys ready and get rescued when they leave. He tried bribing them a 300gp coin but took it back.

Raak gets sparticus a drunk pilot who he rejects and tells Raak they all can no longer come since they are fails.

Mugabee went off to the slums and found 4 1st Level Goblin Vagabonds to follow him

Caldor bought 5 blob slaves for 100 cr each -500cr
all but one escaped. Hes holding on to that one for dear life while it whines about needing to be emersed.

Drago bribes a Overlord and gets a new Pilot named 13 for the ship.

13 is an ABM Mechanoid Brain!

He keeps trying to hyp suggest Drago into finding him a new chasis since his is damaged and leeking. Drago currently has failed enough where he wants to help.

But they tenses square off with Drago saying dont try that AGAIN ill fix you but you just piloe the boat.

13 asked for 10k up front with x3 (20k more ) combat pay. HE has been paid 10k and is piloting the ship into the maintenance lane where they are supposed to tug a damaged cruiseliner ship back to Dracona (according to thes hippig manifest sparticus found).

They get the ship connected, and start towing east…
Noone on the cruisliner seems to notice a difference in the Tugboat staff, at least for now.

Azlum Dock Outskirts

[note this session is memorable because it was our first completed using Google Video and Gametable software to connect two groups in different cities with one another. we gave it about 80% as effective as actually table top rpging]

Outside Drago returns with his strange new chest and decoration.

He meets Kaldor who has setup a hasty camp with Mulan, the dogs, and a pile of eggs.

Drago buries the eggs for safe keeping.

As they return a herd of demon deer attack, Drago, Caldor and the dogs easily dispach them, with the dogs eating 2 of the 4, Caldor wilderness survivaled off 31lbs of meat from a 3rd and the 4th lies on the ground untouched.

A few hours after the attack, dawn breaks.

It is now July 3rd, 105PA

At dawn, sparticus awakens, newly risen Zapper with sporatic Burster abilities. HE sees his companions weary from the nights battle with the demon deer.

At this point they hear a boat through the jungle to the north.

Then strange Naruni Drones start attacking.

Drago uses Deflect magic and they hold off the drone for awhile before it gets exploded.

After destroying 3 of them, they travel through the jungle and see a boat to the north.

Aboard are some gurgoyles, and a woman.

Drago is determined to hijack this ship, so they begin the assault immediately.

Will they prevail? Will Azlum D-Gate Security be alerted to their presence?

Why DOES Drago want this ship so bad?

what is the strange earth-wide energy connection Sparticus saw in his burster power dream?

Why did Kash mysteriously reappear after so long?

Fun With Boatin

Sparticus is locked deep in meditation.
Drago has disapered yet again…

Caldor hears the sound of laughter through the trees.
Aproaching is a huge boat made of bone with the words
“BONE YARD TOURS”
etched into the side.

a cage with a albino kreegorian bloodhound
a woman with restraining bolt holding her kneeling to the deck near the front
and the driver, a man wearing a bone headrest

at one point they get in an argument over a shipping lane. a severly damaged slaver barge is trying to dock by cutting them off. a small firefight ensuse with much shouting but eventualy the bone boat backs up somewhat to let the slaver in first.

while waiting the demons are playing catch with something
one tosses it too far and it lands overboard near caldor in the trees
he sees that it is a human head
the demons start arguing
presumably over who has to retreive the head to continue the game
caldor bides his time
eventualy one demon dives in to get the head
caldor sniper shots him in the head and blows it clean off
the demons start firing wildly into the forest with blasters and a few grenades
none hit caldor
he sits in a new position waiting
another demon goes out to the first dead demons body
caldor smokes the 2nd demon in the head with a natural 20

a police fan jet skimmer from azlum security arives and starts arguing with the captain

he dives into the water in his PA

he grabs them both and swims ashore before anyone can notice

Signs of A Witch

July 1st, 105PA

Atlantis Preserves

Major events in the next two days:

Zombie Invasion kills half of refugees

Sparticus forms Army of thunder from 10 15-4yr old children survivors of the invasion

Till’s son Hill is killed in the invasion and later discovered in a pit of bodies and animated by Drago. his corpse fell over after the magic left it and lies somewhere about a mile west of camp in a pile.

Drago, Sparticus and Kaldor fight a Baslisk, undead and a few humans. Drago and Kaldors powerarmor and petrified before Sparticus managed to sneak up behind the beast, neurotouch it unconscious and then electrocute it with his aura. Drago resisted petrification 7x before finally succumbing to the rays evil effects on the 8th attack.

Kaldor found a strange rock altar with a dead Hawk Duhk on it while he was huning for food. He then met a Sphyx’s ghost who claims evil cultists have taken his body from its tomb for use in foul magics. He begs the PCS to follow the witch and put his body to rest, promising a reward should they do so. It seems wagons were used to loot his cave and they lead to a boat launch nearby leading into the Atlantic ocean north of Atlantis.

Kaldor had to fight One Green Witch cultist and 3 cult members of dark Dragonwright.
He was nearly carpeted and essence bolted todeath before she foolishly steped out trying to convert him to evil. He grapple hooked her into the carpet with him and shot her with his HI80 many times until he was sure she was dead.

Drago teleported some loot back to the Tree, and teleported again where he found his connection in Slynn mysteriously disappeared. The whole block is deserted from some raiders or so he is told. He finds a nice linen shop nearby, though.

After arguing back at camp, the return to the Sphinx’s resting place.

Investigating finds a Hawk Duhk, Keldor blows it up with a grenade in a paranoid attack against an unknown.

most useful were the 10 suits of dragonwright armor 5 damaged, and 5 sheilds.

Kaldor also looted some things from the fight with the cultists, a few Dragon coins and a strange notebook he has so far kept hidden.

They found a shipping manifest for some of the loot in the cave. It reads “Azlum Shipping Co” so they go there to investigate…

Currently the party is on the outskirts of the Azlum harbor.

The Lost Bay

Kaldor originaly had a C Bay attached the the spacecraft. When found… it is submerged with water.
Sparticus activates the drainpumps and pumps it out. Kaldor finds inside his missing power armor.

Also in the woods he heard a howling of a bloodhound..later he finds a Bloodhound pup with a Kreegorian colar, aparently a gift from his mother which broke free during the crash. One of the crates apparently held a second pup which is now gone.

Bay C has crashed into the ocean 30 feet offshore of the south western tip of Atlantis.

The Kaldor, Sparticus, Drago and Mike manage to find the ship in the Ocean but it is not unguarded…

Out of the water come tentacles from a slavers and 4 altarans seem to be checking over the wrecked bay.

the other is in the nearby stream of the swamp submurged bathing, it bursts forth if anyone attacks

There is a mighty battle, Drago is entagled by tentacles and teleports to the tree to regain PPE.
Kaldor is also entangled before sparticus frees one arm by shocking the tentacle with his electric aura.

Celdor then drops a belt of grenades into the water, destroying all the tentacles in the blass and driving off the slaver.

One Altaran was wounded and eaten by the Kreegor Bloodhound.

One was punched and landed unknown.

Two fled when they saw the slaver so severly damaged and fleeing (it took 750SDC in one attack from a full belt of plasma grenades to the deck of its hover pod which was just below the surface of the water during the attack.

Sparticus and Drago got whisps of confusion cast at them and were slowed during the fight…

They also manage to haul out the following salvage from bay C:

A slime shower in random atlantis weather. Everything is covered in little slimes. Drago burns most of them off the ship and surrounding area believing them to be poison.


Kaldor names his Kreegorian bloodhound “MAR-SHUK”

Everyones gear, clothes and bodies are muddy from living out in the wilderness for so long.

Drago also teleports back to his entombed Demon Unicorn body 10 miles west of Tolkeen. names it Thumper and prepares for its mumification.

Around this time Kaldor falls in love with Hawk Duhk flesh and starts going on frequent hunting trips for them.

Kaldor kills a male duhk protecting its female and egg clutch, and then steal the eggs and leaves the female to live. She starts crying and screaming at him.

Kaldor eats alot of eggs and Duhk flesh, failing to preserve one properly he taints the meat with its bowels. He gives the tainted meat to some kids who eat it… and get sick later. Currently the euro faction dislikes Celdor because of this. (hes also evicted them to the hole drago dug next to the ship which has since been militarily fortified with scrap by Mike.

During his second hunt Kaldor finds 3 Hawk Duhks in a war canoe. He engages them. The canoe has a balista which fires make shift explosives.

He kills two of the warriors and the balista firer flees into the water. The Canoe is left floating in a river near the swampy section of the northwestern bay of Atlantis.

Also while hunting Kaldor finds a Cockatrice. It doesnt come that close to petrifying him before he slays it. (damn +9 vs magic i need to audit this…)

Drago sees magic energy coming towards him and being intercepted by a giant Dragonfly.

Finally after the fly eats a few he gets a Magic Pidgeon from Soribold Vask, Lord of Letters and the standing Associate Dean of the Tolkeen School of Magic.

Earlier Drago had applied, and now the Tolkeen School of magic will offer reduced time required learning in exchange for the rescue of thier professor on leave to Atlantis, Doc Beltrov. He was last seen on the western edge of Atlantis conducting dimensional experiments in the unstable conditions there, or so his grant said.

To any who dont need magic he offers each member of the party a magnificient 5 carat emerald from a pouch he carries on her person. (aprox 100k cr value)

Vask explains
“Beltrov is an elite Hawrk-duhk of unusual intelligence. Leader of a small group of refugees from atlantis, his people now regret their ancestors decision to enter rifts earth and settle atlantis, instead following Beltrov in his search for a rift back home to Mother Swamp, the Hawrk-duhk home dimension. His people were still by in large enslaved and oppressed by the Gargoyles to the West. Beltrov has been organizing slave freeing raids their and freeing whoever they can. His troops operate out of hidden underwater bases on the southwestern side of the preserves. He typically made a yearly pilgramidge back to his homeworld with a cadre of hired mystical mercenaries, freeing as many slaves as he could before fleeing back to the mainland.”

If they accept they are invited to the estate of Vask introduces himself, he is a 8ft lizard mage who is rumored to have unlocked the very secrets of rune magic itself. That being said, many rumors say he was offered the position of Dean in hopes that he would teach some of this knowledge in time to the hopefuls of Tolkeen Academia.

After Drago accepts the job Vask explains.

“Beltrov was very curious, especialy about interdemnsional phenomena and species. He was a xenobologist and renowned for his knowledge of thousands of rare species from many worlds. He was also a trained linguist and decifered many ancient languages. Very secretive, he kept the details of most of his work secret only releasing a few public papers about his finds.

We know this, he was in the Atlantis preserves looking for a strange rock carrying symbols such as these:



They all contain the theme of an interlinking star shaped object, its purpose is unknown.

These symbols are very close to those that Kaldor was sent to look for, Dragos believes them to be Dwarven runes.

The bounty Kaldor was sent Earth to claim was for a short stocky humanoid who used similar symbols.

Kaldor was supposed to lock onto a set of coordinates and nuke the site from orbit, but the ship was disabled by earths orbital defense grid before this happened. Celdor does remember that the coordinates were somewhere on western Atlantis..

After resting the Drago, Keldor and Sparticus go North east of Undertown looking for rumors of the witch. Raul claims his men found signs of her there.

She has put a wasting sickness onto the area of Undertown.

Wandering that way they find another huge crashed ship.

It is leaking green goo.

Drago sploshes around in the Goo. Sparticus senses low power from the goo and the ship.

They also find many Kittani corpses and strange ritualistic fetishes made from animal flesh covered in bloody symbols.

Drago senses evil magic and destroys the fetishes with his fire breath.

In the trees around the clearing made by the crashed ship hang many corpses.

They find tracks leading away from the site, into a gully. There Drago sees more piles of corpses covered in water and green goo which has washed down the ravine to pool there.

Drago feels very sick after this, he takes about 200HP damage (d4×10HP/minute or so of exposure to direct radiation leak from the primary core of the crashed Kitanni ship. ITs coolant is leaking badly).

So they rest for awhile…while Sparticus rebuilds the ship and labels things in English by burning in letters with his electricity.

They rest for four days after the radiation poisoning knocks out Drago’s normal regenerative abilities.
