They rule the area around Huntsville, Decatur, & Guntersville, along the river they have many boat patrols and merchant traffic. Most of GAW is centered around the Pre Rifts Redstone Military bunkers and airfeilds. This is where the shanty town of Huntsville stands. Built around a hardened bunker which survived the rifts, GAW retooled many of the weapons there and built the first wall around town. Constructed from airplane parts and random bits and peices, the wall is poor condition but enough to keep out raiders. (think megaton from fallout 3)
GAW is made up of a self proclaimed "confederate" of independent traders and clans.
The Confederation of traders is made up of three main clains, the Huntsvill clan, the Decatur clan and the Guntersville clan. All of the clans are closely inbred with others in their own clan and seldom marry outside the clan. A few of the clans younger members have traveled outside the area and brought back knowledge on how to unlock more of the tech buried around the region. Only Huntsville clan has anything resembling a city, the other clans live in the ruins of their perspective cities living a subsistence farmer and scavenger lifestyle, trading to the main city of Huntsville for anything a wilderness scout can't make on his own.
Most GAW residences are ignorant of anything but home constructed steampunk tech and retooled gas tech, but most people don't use gas as its too expensive, they all brew their own moonshine for use in their homemade mad max style vehicles.
A few farmers live in the surrounding region supplying the three main city centers with fresh food in exchange for mass produced 1920s level goods.
GAW cannot produce much on its own, most of the tech they have was scavenged by the three clans during the dark ages, and over time they have had to trade more and more of their considerable stock pile in order to afford the costs of surviving in a new post apocaolyptic landscape.
Already GAW has bribed the Coalition with dirt cheap sales of scavenged farm and industrial equipment. GAW is very paranoid about showing any military equipment to the CS, for fear theyw ill be whiped out.
Huntsville is where the goods in Mercenaries can be bought by just about anybody with credits. GAW does not discriminate if the credit is good, however they are wary of non-humans.
The other two towns are offlimits to outsiders as they are xenophobic semi feral and known to carry off "learned people" into the hills.
GAW is Ruled by Clan Huntsville

Huntsville does reconize non clan members as 2nd class citizens effectively protecting them but not letting them buy land in town, they work for the huntsvilles mostly.

The stuff in CS navy didn't happen, these guys have a few retooled boats but no aircraft carriers. They can't make nuke reactors but recently got their oil refinery back online to compete with the homemade moonshine and methane powered vehicles used by their neighbors.
Most of the Huntsville clan money goes to defending the area and paying off various larger more agressive forces like the CS and the Pecos bandits. They are trying to make alegiences with other powers to solidify their position.
Huntsville is the badly delapitated ruins of a former pre-rifts city.

Tin Ducks is business run out the back of a large armored Hover Truck, Ducks is a Full Conversion Borg who sometimes imports Chipwell, NG, and Wellington Industries gear into Huntsville.

Sparticus is having one of the bunkers dug out and turned into a base.
Nearby there is an oil refinery, the owners have had trouble getting it started, and for years mysterious problems have plagued it. Now sparticus has bought half of a share of it, given in exchange for him not leaving the negotiating table.
Army of Thunder is a ragtag troop of young refugees rescued from various circumstance by Sparticus.
They are feircly loyal and recipients of much of Sparticus's spare loot. Currently they are holed up in Tolkeen defending the southern suburbs against frequent Coalition raids.

Sparticus becomes a celebrity known as "the buyer" in GAW, he single handedly turned around the recession in the area and with his influx of cash they are hiring and alot of machinery has been turned back on, manufacturing plants started up, and in general more prosperity in the area since the purchase.

Sparticus spends a alot of money and buys an Air Castle bomber and flys his troops to pickup the men he left in Dunscon. The players find out GAW know of "The Dwarf" a traitor who came in claiming to want to trade and ended up killing and robbing many of GAW before escaping. GAW has a 2mil bounty on "The Dwarf" someone Caldor reconizes from his earlier bounty and reason he was sent to earth...to kill the very same Dwarf. GAW sells sparticus 4 refills worth of fule in barrels and welcome him back later for more.
At dunscon the men sparticus left report one man missing. Sparticus tracks him to Blimpy Burgers a balrog fast food place, finds a balrog selling deep fried humans. He leaves 2 warheads in side the restaraunt and nukes it with his powers after he goes outside.

The team then flies to New Port where Princess Shack takes up residence with an egg she mysteriously hatches after a liason with Caldor while the plane flew at 40k feet. Thull constructs her a fine box for the egg with carpentry.
Newport is a nexus point Drago was asked to conquer by Dunscon.
While settling into the abandoned fishing village there is a freak ley line storm where magic is decreased by 1/2, a rift opens and a few xiticix fly out. Drago starts preparing to cast Close rift while the rest of the party shoot down the Xiticix, Caldor empties all his minimissles into the swarm whiping them out.
Sparticus's troops return to Tolkeen and the rest of the group stays in New Port.
