#60 To Tolkeen and Back again

Drago teaches Bluey to cast Magic Pidgeon.

 Caldor's biowizard implant  was starving after being soul sucked so since he was weak in will atm the sybiote compelled Caldor to try to leap on drago. Caldor failed to feed on Drago, Then offered a 20% cut on future loot to Drago for some sort of feeeding contract. and ppl were like WTF, after feeding on some pigs  or something later and sleeping Caldor feels much btr and is more himself. 

Sparticus and Drago then fly to tolkeen leaving the rest of the group behind while they struggle to keep up on foot. Sparticus learns 1/4 of his forces in the army of thunder were killed in action after he left, 1/2 laid down their weapons and joined the tolkeen school of magic in exchange for amnesty, and 1/4 are missing in action. Bluey has been making deals with the CS behind the scenes, and after sparticus becomes fed up with Tolkeen he swears to work with the CS and get his revenge for his lost men. It seems Tolkeen has used the harvestors as a last ditch weapon against the coalition, allowing harvestors sanctuary in Tolkeen in exchange for Nxla's followers being allowed to conquer CS missouri. The group returns back to the base in the ruins of Huntsville, alabama.

#59 The Touch of Nxla

The group chases after the tank until they get near the building.   A battle with the Duergar troops ensues.   Bluey gets shot down by a missle from the tank.  Herman also takes a missile hit but manages to pick up bluey in mid air before he falls.  Hermans force field (?) is destroyed.  Caldors force field took some laser blasts but remained intact.

One howitzer is taken out by Caldor, two remain in action.  Drago charges the rift and takes heavy damage from the tank on the other side, his magic armor drops dangerously low.
Bes cackles from the top of the tank "I sent the plague of NXLA to this planet to destroy the last royal kreeghor in the tet line.  My employer will be very pleased to hear I have taken as zombies the last male and his entourage."  With that bes opens a second pinhole rift to africa and sends out 10 tendrils at the characters... Herman and Caldor fail their saves after many close calls, drago tries in vain to destroy the tendrils with fire.  As Herman and Caldor are slowly soulsucked into the rift by NXLA's tendrils...


Drago and Bluey team up pool PPE and cast CLOSE RIFT.   This cuts off the soul supply just before caldor and herman are completely drained.  (house rule: the nxla tendril soul suck and xombification effect takes a full melee round to take place and can be stopped through player action).



Cleaning up the group finishes dispatching the remaining duergar, some of which were zombified.

Drained of magic energy and soul, the battered party hunkers down near the ruins the Duergar were using as a base...

The group goes inside and finds a few harvestors and 4 men chained up along with a child and a woman in cages with weird implants.  During the battle Drago hits an agony rune and is hurt by it.

After the harvesters were destroyed or fled, The 4 men are set free and run off.  Bluey's Z worm uses psi surgery to investigate the impants on the girl and the child, finally setting them free as well and removing the mysterious implants.  Both are too weak to stand after the ordeal.

Sparticus and Bluey took mustard gas damage from a trap outside the base.  Both bioregenerated to protect their lungs from permanent damage.

#58 Huntsville Alabama solar eclipse

There is a solar eclipse which effects magic in Huntsville... Drago and Bluey are empowered.  Drago uses the power to show others the ritual of create steel mummy.  Drago creates mummy pigs from the victims of missle blasted pig remains.

The group gets the pings of enemy radar scans... and then incoming missles.

About 350 pigs remain after missle blasts from an unknown assailent attacked the party.

Hughbot figures out the ritual by watching drago and also manages to create a steel mummy pig from the ambient ppe magic energies.

Caldor's symbiot continues to crave drago after tasting dragon blood.  Caldor can almost detect drago with his eyes closed...

After creating the pigs  the pigs are left to guard the huntsvill oil refinery base of the army of thunder.

the group rushes to camp Beta... towards the direction the missles came from.

Drago cast invincible armor on everyone and miraculously deflect as well, the eclipses power bending the laws of magic.. (or gems forgetting them ;)

On the way bluey is hit by a medium range missle, his jetbike slagged only his invincible armor protects him from death.

Caldor runs across the ground and hits a few landmines, charging up..

Skimmers and flying quickly apear, shooting weak energy rays and a few mini missles during strafing runs...

Finally reaching the camp they see a huge ruin, there is a tower with 3 heavy guns and duegar manning them.  There is also a Naruni Juggernaught hovertank with a duegar sitting in the turret top protected by the forcefield.

The head duegar casts call lightning at caldor, it bounces off caldors force field.

Others get hit by howitzer blasts and much of the magical protections cast upon the group are disapated from the blasts by the start of melee round #2...

The Tank has drive quickly through a rift which appears behind the buildings.  The building defenders take aim and you hear the faint sound of evil laughter from the other side of the rift...
